Why the Right Snack Beats Any Meal Plan

The 3 p.m. crash is real — a good snack is the difference between an on-plan dinner and a bag of chips at 5.

Cooks on Pepper batch protein balls, hummus, and popcorn on Sunday so the pantry has something ready for the whole week.

The recipes here are the ones the community reaches for when a full meal is too much but hunger won't wait.

Quick Tips

  1. 1

    Portion into single servings

A big bag of anything becomes a meal — portion into 100-cal snack bags on Sunday.

  2. 2

    Pair fat with fiber

Apples with peanut butter or hummus with veggies keeps you full for hours, not minutes.

  3. 3

    Batch protein balls

One bowl, one hour of chill time, a week of grab-and-go snacks.

  4. 4

    Air-pop your popcorn

Homemade popcorn with olive oil and salt beats microwave bags on flavor and cost.
