Why the Community's Desserts Skew Protein-Forward

Whipped cottage cheese, Greek yogurt, and a scoop of protein have quietly replaced heavy cream and butter in a lot of the most-saved dessert recipes here.

Cooks on Pepper are hacking cheesecakes, brownies, and ice cream into something you can eat after a workout without wrecking the day.

None of these read as 'diet' — they hit the sweet, cold, creamy notes a dessert is supposed to, with a better macro sheet on the back.

Quick Tips

  1. 1

    Whip the cottage cheese

A food processor turns curdy cottage cheese into silky mousse in 45 seconds.

  2. 2

    Protein powder needs fat

Nut butter or Greek yogurt in the base keeps protein desserts from tasting chalky.

  3. 3

    Freeze in small portions

Individual bites in an ice cube tray beat one giant pan you overeat from.

  4. 4

    Skip the sugar substitute confusion

One clean sweetener at a time — monk fruit OR allulose OR honey, not a stack.
