Crack Chicken Spaghettidinner

Crack Chicken Spaghetti

We love crack chicken and chicken spaghetti, so I mashed them together and it turned out amazing. Even the picky 4 year old ate it. Hope you also enjoy it!

Ingredients

  • 2 cups Shredded Chicken
  • 4-6 cups Chicken Broth
  • 1/2-3/4 package Spaghetti Noodles
  • 1 cup Milk
  • 1 can Cream of Chicken
  • 2 Carrots
  • 2 Celery stalk
  • 1/2 Onion
  • 8 oz Cream cheese
  • 1/2 cup Shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 Ranch packet
  • 1 cup Crumbled bacon
  • 2 tbsp Oil
  • to taste Salt & Pepper
  • 1 tsp Garlic powder

Instructions

  1. 1Heat oil in a heavy pot, add in diced celery, carrots, and onion. Sauté until vegetables have softened.
  2. 2Add milk, shredded chicken, cream of chicken, bacon, spices, ranch packet, chicken broth, spaghetti (broken in half), and cream cheese. Stir to combine.
  3. 3Bring to a boil and reduce to a simmer. Stiring frequently so the pasta doesn’t stick together. Cook until desired noodle doneness and the majority of the liquid has been absorbed by the noodles.
  4. 4Add shredded cheese and stir. Let sit for 10 minutes to allow spaghetti mixture to thicken.
  5. 5Optional: Transfer to a baking dish and top with cheese, broil for a few minutes to darken the cheese. Serve and enjoy!

Let The Slow Cooker Handle Dinner

Spaghetti is the meal nobody argues about. When the sauce has been sitting in the crock all afternoon, the beef or chicken goes soft and the whole house smells like supper before you've done a thing.

Cooks on Pepper reach for these on the days that get away from them — practice runs long, work runs late, and dinner still has to be on the table by seven.

Every recipe here leans on the slow cooker or the oven: Crack Chicken Spaghetti, Crockpot Chicken Spaghetti, Easy Cheesy Baked Spaghetti, and Homemade spaghetti and meatballs when you want to roll meatballs by hand.

Quick Tips

  1. 1

    Add noodles at the end

Stir dry spaghetti in during the last 30 to 45 minutes on low, or they'll turn to mush. Break the strands in half so they sit under the sauce.

  2. 2

    Brown the beef first

Ten minutes in a skillet over medium-high heat, then drain the fat. It keeps the sauce from going greasy in the crock.

  3. 3

    Shred chicken right in it

Cook breasts on low 4 to 5 hours, then pull them apart with two forks in the sauce so they soak it all back up.

  4. 4

    Hold back the cheese

Stir in shredded cheddar in the last 15 minutes with the lid off, or sprinkle it over baked spaghetti for the last 10 minutes in the oven.
