Open in Pepper →A pan of sprouts with crispy edges and melted parmesan turns a plain chicken dinner into something the family actually asks about. The trick is heat and a little fat, and everything else is seasoning.
Cooks on Pepper reach for these when supper needs one more thing on the table and there's twenty minutes left, or when they want a holiday side that doesn't take the whole oven.
Every recipe here is a real batch of sprouts: Air Fried Brussel Sprouts, Cheesy Brussels Sprouts Casserole, Creamy Parmesan Brussel Sprouts, Crispy Garlic Parmesan Roasted Brussel Sprouts, Hot Honey Bacon Brussel Sprouts, and Pan Roasted Parmesan Brussels Sprouts.
Halve them cut side down
Cut each sprout in half and lay the flat side against the hot pan so it browns. Don't flip for the first 10 minutes.
Roast hot, not warm
Use 425°F on a preheated sheet pan. Lower temps steam the sprouts instead of crisping them.
Add parmesan at the end
Sprinkle the shredded parmesan on in the last 3 to 5 minutes so it melts and toasts instead of burning.
Shake the air fryer basket
Cook at 375°F for about 15 minutes, shaking the basket every 5 so the outside leaves crisp evenly.
