Open in Pepper →A good iced coffee is mostly about proportions — how strong the coffee is, how much milk goes in, and how sweet you like it. Once you know your ratio, you stop paying for one on the way to work.
Cooks on Pepper reach for these on hot mornings, on the way out the door with the kids, and around three in the afternoon when the day still has a few hours left in it.
Every recipe here is a drink you can build in a glass in a few minutes: vanilla iced coffee, brown sugar cold foam iced coffee, chocolate hazelnut, Nutella iced coffee, honey almond milk cold brew, salted caramel, and a pumpkin spice version for fall.
Brew it double strength
Use about twice the coffee grounds you normally would, since a full cup of ice will melt and water it down.
Dissolve sugar while hot
Stir the tablespoon of sugar into the hot coffee before you add ice, or it will sit grainy at the bottom of the glass.
Chill the coffee first
Pour brewed coffee into a jar and refrigerate 2 hours, or freeze coffee in an ice cube tray so it never gets watery.
Shake the cold foam
Shake 2 tablespoons half and half with a spoonful of brown sugar in a jar for 30 seconds until thick, then pour it over the top.
