  • 2 tbsp Butter
  • 1/2 cup White wine
  • 3 cloves, minced Garlic
  • 2 cups, quartered Cherry tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup, chopped Fresh basil
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • to taste Black pepper
  • 1 tsp Sugar
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 8 oz Noodles (pasta of choice)

Instructions

  1. 1Brown the pork in a skillet until cooked through. Remove from skillet and let it sit in a bowl lined with paper towel.

  4. 4Cook the noodles separately according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  5. 5Incorporate the browned pork back into the sauce once it has come together. Add the cooked noodles and mix well.
  6. 6Let the pasta sit for a few minutes to allow the flavors to marry. Quarter mozzarella Pearls if desired.
  7. 7To serve, place a few quartered mozzarella pearl balls at the bottom of a bowl, add the pasta and sauce on top, garnish with more mozzarella pearls, fresh purple basil, and drizzle with balsamic dressing.

Why Ground Pork Is the Most Underrated Ground Meat

Ground pork is fattier and more flavorful than ground beef or turkey, which makes it exceptional in dishes where you want richness — think dumplings, larb, ragu, and meatballs.

It absorbs aromatics beautifully. Ginger, garlic, scallions, fish sauce, and five-spice all shine with pork. It's also the foundation of virtually every dumpling tradition across Asia.

On Pepper, home cooks master ground pork, transforming this versatile and affordable protein into dozens of global dishes.

Quick Tips

  1. 1

    Go Higher Fat for Flavor

Ground pork labeled 80/20 has noticeably more flavor than the leaner versions. For dumplings and meatballs especially, that extra fat keeps the filling juicy and rich.

  2. 2

    Aromatics Are Non-Negotiable

Ginger, garlic, scallions, and a splash of soy sauce or fish sauce transform plain ground pork into something that tastes deeply seasoned. Add them early so they bloom in the fat.

  3. 3

    Don't Overcrowd the Pan

Ground pork needs contact with a hot surface to brown properly. Cook in batches if needed — crowding causes steaming instead of searing, and you lose all the caramelized flavor.

  4. 4

    Sub Into Ground Beef Recipes

Anywhere you use ground beef, ground pork works equally well and often better. Try it in bolognese, stuffed peppers, or tacos for a richer, slightly sweeter flavor profile.
