Open in Pepper →Sliders solve the nights when everybody eats at a different time. You build one pan, bake it, and cut it apart as people come through the kitchen.
Cooks on Pepper reach for these on game days, after ballgames, and any weeknight when a sheet pan of sandwiches beats standing at the stove making plates.
Every recipe here is a full pan: Italian Style Sliders with ham and salami, Chicken Parmesan Sliders on potato buns, ham and cheese sliders, Easy Cuban-Style Sliders with dill pickles, Meatball Sliders, and French Dip Sliders with deli roast beef.
Cut the rolls as one slab
Leave the Hawaiian rolls connected and slice the whole sheet in half horizontally with a long serrated knife, then fill and put the top back on.
Brush butter on top
Melt about 1/2 cup butter and brush it over the tops before baking so they brown evenly instead of drying out.
Cover then uncover
Bake covered with foil for 15 minutes to melt the cheese, then uncover 5 to 10 minutes to crisp the tops.
Drain the meat well
For ground beef or sausage fillings, drain the grease completely so the bottom rolls don't turn soggy.
