Ingredients

  • Trader Joe’s gluten free egg noodles (1 container is 2.5 servings)
  • 2-3 links Hot Italian Sausage
  • 1/2 cup Peas
  • 1/2 cup Cremini mushrooms
  • Butter
  • Parmigiano Reggiano

Instructions

  1. 1Boil water in one pot, and in another pan, start cooking the Italian sausage. (I squeeze it out of the caseing)
  2. 2Once your water is boiling, add in the whole package of gluten free egg noodles (or any pasta of your choice). They only need to cook for about 2-4 min.
  3. 3After the noodles are done. Set aside some pasta water and then drain the noodles. In the same pan the sausage was in, drain the grease, then add the peas (I used frozen), and the freshly sliced cremini mushrooms.
  4. 4After the mushrooms are softened and the peas are warm, add in your butter ( I eye ball how much I use). Then add in the pasta. Start grading your fresh parmesan over the pan and start mixing it all together, adding pasta water as you go. Add the sausage back in.
  5. 5Serve & enjoy!

Why the Best Gluten-Free Dinners Never Needed Flour Anyway

Sheet-pan salmon, skillet chicken, taco bowls, and stir fries were never leaning on wheat to begin with.

Cooks on Pepper skip the gluten-free bread swap and go straight to naturally gluten-free formats — rice, potato, corn, vegetable.

The recipes here are the community's proof that a gluten-free dinner is just a dinner that respects the protein and the vegetable.

Quick Tips

  1. 1

    Sheet pan is the shortcut

Chicken and vegetables at 425°F for 25 minutes is dinner without a thickener in sight.

  2. 2

    Cornstarch is your gluten-free flour

One tablespoon in cold water thickens any sauce or gravy — no wheat required.

  3. 3

    Rice cooker while you sear

Start rice first, cook the protein second — timed dinner in 25 minutes.

  4. 4

    Tamari over soy sauce

Naturally gluten-free and richer — a bottle in the pantry solves half your stir fries.
