Open in Pepper →Some nights you don't want to cook, you want to arrange. Sliced salami, a wedge of brie, a handful of olives, and suddenly the table looks like you tried.
Cooks on Pepper reach for this collection when company shows up early, when the kids graze instead of sitting down, and when a holiday needs something on the counter all afternoon.
Every recipe here is a real board: the classic Charcuterie Board with truffle salami and prosciutto, a Focaccia Bread Charcuterie Board, Charcuterie Board Chicken with apple and smoked gouda, a Valentines breakfast version with strawberries and grapefruit, and the Grinch Charcuterie board for December.
Pull cheese out early
Set hard cheeses on the counter 30 to 45 minutes before serving so they slice clean and taste like more than cold.
Fold the meat, don't stack
Fold salami slices in quarters or ribbon the prosciutto so guests can grab one piece without dragging five.
Fill gaps last
Place the cheese wedges and bowls of olives first, then tuck grapes, nuts, and crackers into every empty inch.
Count three per person
Plan on 3 ounces of meat and 3 ounces of cheese per person if the board is dinner, half that if it's a snack.
