Why the Wok Is the Weeknight Cheat Code

Ten minutes of active cooking, one pan, and a bowl of rice — nothing beats a stir fry for a fast dinner that still feels like a real meal.

Cooks on Pepper stock soy, sesame oil, rice vinegar, and gochujang and treat them like everyday pantry — that's the whole trick.

The recipes here are the community's takeout replacements — bowls, stir fries, and glazes that plate faster than delivery.

Quick Tips

  1. 1

Prep everything before the wok gets hot

Stir fries cook in 90 seconds — chop first, cook second, or something burns.

  2. 2

Sauce goes in at the end

Add soy, oyster sauce, and sesame oil in the last 30 seconds so they glaze instead of evaporate.

  3. 3

    Sear the protein separately

Pull it out, cook the vegetables, then return it — everything stays browned instead of steamed.

  4. 4

    Buy a bottle of gochujang

One jar becomes marinades, sauces, and glazes for a month of dinners.
